Precautions For Your Group at Mohegan Sun

  • Capacity charts and meeting sets to allow for room layouts with physical distancing based on availability.

  • Hand Sanitation Purell stations throughout property including both convention centers.
  • Disinfecting of conference rooms overnight before events, and during group breaks as time allows with disinfecting spray and/or foggers.
  • Frequent common space sanitation of high contact surfaces including but not limited to restrooms, door handles, escalator hand rails, elevator buttons, sitting area sanitizing (chairs and tables).
  • Conference Center restroom staffing for disinfecting during conference events
  • Banquet team members will have PPE and sanitize during set up, refreshes and all catered events.
  • Group registration to have queue with 6’ markers on floor or stanchion for physical distancing.
  • Sanitation of shared AV Equipment between speakers.
  • Audio Visual – we realize that some people will not be able to attend due to personal circumstances and concerns over Covid-19. Our in house Audio Visual company provides solutions to facilitate a virtual event component as part of your event that includes:
    • Video Conferencing: Two-way real time communication.
    • Webcasting & Recording: Broadcast to a large, dispersed audience.
    • Simultaneous Interpretation: Interpretive services so presenters and attendees understand each other in real time.
    • Hybrid Events and more.

 

Group Testing for COVID-19 at Mohegan Sun

Testing can be arranged for your group, on-site at Mohegan Sun with Hartford Healthcare (HHC).
Hartford Healthcare is offering PCR testing with a guaranteed turnaround of 24 hours (or less).

  • Hourly rate for each HHC employee present at HHC’s COVID-19 Self-Swabbing Stations located at Mohegan Sun – $125.00 per hour (Mon – Fri) and $250 per hour per person (Sat and Sun)
  • Testing Services – $137.00 per test performed
  • Physician Professional Oversight for COVID-19 Testing fee (receive results, disseminate results to designated personnel, initiates contact tracing if needed): Rate TBD
  • HHC commits to a 24-hour turnaround time for test results

Large Groups at Mohegan Sun
  • Pre-Function space with one way entry and exit lanes with signage in the form of floor clings and poster boards.
  • Multiple registration areas with staggered arrivals of attendees to reduce bottlenecks at elevators and time spent in lines.
  • Breakout rooms will be set for physical distancing, if needed attendees could also attend breakouts virtually from their guestrooms.
  • When group returns to General Session room for dinner the existing stage may be utilized for awards presentation, speakers or entertainment

Trade and Consumer Shows at Mohegan Sun
  • Event Set Up
    • Booths on both sides of aisle requires a 15’ minimum wide unobstructed aisle for one way traffic.
    • Booths on one side of aisle requires a 10’ minimum wide unobstructed aisle for one way traffic.
    • 6’ – 8’ tall drape is required between booths and/or extra distancing.
    • Vendor booth should be designed to prohibit guest access inside booth.
    • Floors stickers to be placed at booths for attendee engagement zone.
    • One way entry / exit to show is required.
    • Traffic signage to be placed to encourage appropriate flow.
    • Disinfecting stations to be set in the aisles.
    • CDC guideline signage and social distancing markers will be at entrances, registrations and other areas where appropriate.
    • Ticket Sales counters to be set with plexiglass barrier equipped with wireless credit card terminals that are sanitized between use.
    • Concession Stand queue and seating will be arranged to allow for social distancing.
    • Every other sink and urinal in rest rooms closed for social distancing.
       
  • Vendor & Attendee Requirements
    • Thermal temperature checks are required for all vendors at load in before entering the hall, and for attendees at entry to the property.
    • Load in times to be appropriately scheduled to allow for proper flow, emphasizing that all vendors must be loaded into the venue no later than 1 hour prior to the show start.
    • Demers service desk to be set with plexiglass barrier and social distanced que.
    • Maximum number of 2 vendors are allowed to work in each booth, arranged 6’ apart and 6’ from an attendee.
    • Minimum 24” x 24” plexiglass or equivalent to be set between vendor and attendee in any instance where 6’ distancing can’t be maintained between vendor and attendee.
    • During show hours vendors will not have access outside the hall for re‐stocking.
    • Face masks required for all vendors, show workers and attendees at all times, and gloves where appropriate.
    • Credit card only payments are suggested for vendors.
    • Security or logistics staff required to monitor and ensure proper flow of guests.
    • Additional thermal temperature scan stations at the entrance to event are available on request.
    • Mohegan Sun Health Department will determine the maximum number of attendees allowed in the room at any given time based on final diagram. To ensure compliance ushers are required at entry and exit points to maintain attendee count.
    • To maximize attendees, the show management may stagger entry to event with specific day/time tickets.

General Precautions at Mohegan Sun

Thermal Temperature Scans
  • All Mohegan Sun team members and guests to be thermal temperature scanned on arrival at all entrances.
    • Any guest or team member that has a temperature of 99.9 degrees or higher will be asked to go through the thermal scan a second time to confirm. If they are confirmed to have a fever they will not be allowed entry to the property.
    • Group attendees with confirmed temperature of 99.9 degrees or higher to take the following steps: What happens if an attendee has a fever upon arrival.
Maintaining A Safe Distance
  • Physical distancing instituted throughout property. For example:
    • Floor markers at 6' distance at all line queue locations.
    • Furniture removal for 6' distancing.
    • Every other sink and urinals in bathrooms in operation.
    • Elevator capacity is limited to 4 people at a time.
  • Plexiglass will be placed between Mohegan Sun team members and guests at front desk and other guest transactional locations.
  • Complimentary self-parking with all guest arrivals.
Mandatory Face Masks
  • It is mandatory for guests and employees to wear masks unless eating or drinking. If you do not have a mask, security will provide one to you.
Have Good Clean Fun
  • UV Light disinfecting technology in resort air handlers.
  • All public areas and back of house to be kept sanitized and disinfected with hyper attention including but not limited to frequent contact surfaces such as:
    • Public seating areas
    • Restrooms
    • Elevator buttons
    • Escalator handrails
    • Stairwells
  • Purell hand sanitation stations will be readily available including entrances.
  • All push button operating doors will be placed in the hold open setting and signs directing guests to utilize open doors
  • All transportation arranged through Mohegan Sun to be disinfected after each transfer.

Precautions For Your Hotel Stay at Mohegan Sun

  • Guests have the ability to check in remotely utilizing our kiosks located in the hotel lobby
  • Luggage drop-off location available for hotel guests prior to self-park.
  • For guests choosing to utilize the Front Desk, queue stanchions in 6’ intervals will provide appropriate physical distancing and every other workstation will be available.
  • All Hotel keys will be disinfected before given to guests at the time of check-in.
  • Bell carts will be disinfected after each use.
  • Express check-out available via in-room TV, SMS or key drop boxes. Receipts will be emailed.
  • Elevators are limited to 4 guests to keep spacing.
  • Pools, gyms and ice machines will be temporarily unavailable.
  • Hand sanitizer stations will be placed near elevator landings on each floor.
  • High touch points will be disinfected frequently
  • Hotel rooms will be cleaned and disinfected prior to guests’ arrival using fog and/or spray disinfectant including on all soft surfaces
  • Housekeeping service for a multiple night stay available only by request.
  • Turndown service has been temporarily discontinued.
  • Extra blankets and pillows available by request only.
  • Glassware and Mugs replaced with disposable alternatives in guestrooms.
  • Remote controls disinfected then wrapped in plastic sleeve with sanitization sticker to seal.
  • Disinfected iPad will provide in-room dining options.
  • In-room dining to be left outside of the hotel room, and request that guests leave in-room dining outside room when completed.
